BENGALURU:
The much-awaited 655-metre-long grade separator flyover at Shivanagar 1st Main Road and 8th Main Road in Shivanagar, West of Chord Road, Rajajinagar, is complete and now awaits only a suitable time for its inauguration by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
On Monday, BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta, accompanied by former Minister and Rajajinagar MLA Suresh Kumar, inspected the finishing touches to the flyover. Gupta instructed the officials concerned to complete the few remaining minor works quickly.

Work on the flyover at West of Chord Road’s Manjunath Nagar, the underpass at Shivanagar junction and the flyover at Basaveshwara Circle was initiated in 2016. While the Manjunath Nagar flyover work has been completed and opened for vehicular movement, the project at Shivanagar junction was changed from an underpass to a flyover and is still a work in progress.
