Engineers pass the buck for delays, BBMP administrator tells them to buck up
BENGALURU:
BBMP administrator Gaurav Gupta was taken aback when told by officials that staff shortages were delaying the Smart City project.
On Thursday, Gupta inspected work on Raj Bhavan Road, Race Course Road, Infantry Road, Nehru Planetarium Road and Commercial Street, among other places.


Apart from staff shortage, the engineers cited drainage, pavement and design issues for the delays. Gupta urged them to find solutions quickly without causing any inconvenience to pedestrians and motorists.
Special Commissioner (Projects) Manoz Jain, Managing Director of Smart City Ltd Hepsiba Rani Korlapati, Chief Engineer of East Zone Prabhakar, Srinivas and other officials were present.
