Record single-day recoveries of 8,609
BENGALURU:
The coronavirus continues to spread in the state, with the total infections now crossing the 2-lakh mark. 0n a brighter note, Thursday’s single-day day record of recoveries at 8,609 was more than the new cases at 6,706. In addition, 103 deaths were reported.
The total number of Covid- cases in the state is now 2,03,200. Of these, 1,21,242 have recovered and 78,336 are active. So far, 3,613 people have died.
A total of 1,893 new positive cases were detected in Bengaluru on Thursday, lless than the previous day.
With this, the number of positive cases in Bengaluru is now 81,733, of which 47,244 have recovered and 33,150 are active. So far, 1,338 people have died in the city.
On Wednesday, 7,883 cases were reported in the state, and 7,034 were discharged.
The state has a recovery rate of 59.67% and a death rate of 1.78%. A total of 18,82,316 corona tests have been conducted so far, with 55,999 tests on Thursday.
