Bengaluru: Commuters on the Bengaluru Metro’s Yellow Line faced delays on Saturday morning after a technical glitch caused trains to run at longer intervals for nearly three hours.
According to a statement from the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the issue began around 10:15 a.m., leading to trains operating with a headway of approximately 25 minutes instead of the usual frequency. Metro officials urged passengers to remain patient and cooperate while maintenance teams worked to identify and resolve the problem.
The disruption affected several morning commuters traveling between key interchange points on the Yellow Line, leading to minor crowding at stations.
By 1:58 p.m., BMRCL announced that normal services had been fully restored and trains were running on schedule.
“Normalcy on the Yellow Line has been restored from 13:58 hrs, and trains are now operating as per schedule. The public may kindly note the same and utilize the metro service,”
