BENGALURU:
Phase 1 of the Centre’s Unlock 1, which started on June 8, has seen petrol and diesel prices being hiked continuously.
On Thursday, petrol and diesel prices went by 60 paise. With this, petrol in Bengaluru costs Rs 76.27 a litre while diesel is Rs 68.66.
Both fuels were up by 60 paise on Sunday and Monday. On Tuesday, petrol prices were raised by 54 paise and diesel by 58 paise. On Wednesday, petrol prices went up by 40 paise and diesel by 45 paise.
The rise in retail fuel costs is mainly because the Central government had hiked the excise duty on diesel by Rs 13 a litre and on petrol by Rs 10 a litre earlier.
