BENGALURU:
To buttress the tighter restrictions announced by the state government following a surge in Covid cases, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao has reimposed Section 144 in the city from June 26 till July 26.
Strict observation of the following rules has been ordered:
- Every person must wear a mask in public places.
- Maintenance of one metre distance from others in public places.
- A maximum of 20 people to participate in any event.
The police chief has warned that anyone who violates these rules will be prosecuted under Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and Section 188 of the IPC.
