Malaysia has cautioned its citizens against traveling to southern Thailand following a recent spate of bombings and shootings that resulted in five fatalities and thirteen injuries. The violence, attributed to suspected insurgents, transpired over the weekend in predominantly ethnic Malay Muslim provinces, which have been grappling with a separatist rebellion since 2004.
