Former US president Donald Trump has lobbed racially charged attacks at his Indian-American Republican rival Nikki Haley by repeatedly referring to her as “Nimbra”, in an apparent intentional misspelling of her birth name. Trump’s attack against Haley, a daughter of Indian immigrants who served as his UN ambassador, comes days before a hotly contested New Hampshire primary that could determine the trajectory of the party’s presidential nomination contest. Haley, 52, whose parents moved to the United States in the 1960s, was born Nimarata Nikki Randhawa.
