Call centre staffer had shifted house from Shivajinagar to JC Nagar a fortnight ago

Is Bengaluru losing its control over the spread of the deadly coronavirusvirus? It’s a nagging question not only because of increasing fatalities but also because the Silicon City has recorded the first death of a techie, a 23-year-old youth who was working in a call centre.
The deceased youth has been named P-6375. As per the health bulletin released by the Karnataka Health department, “P-6375 (23 years, male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as ILI, complained of fever, vomiting and headache, known case of DM. He was admitted on 09.06.2020 at a private hospital, Bengaluru Urban, later got admitted to a designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban on 11.06.2020. Died on 12.06.2020).”
Sources said the techie was working in a call centre and since Lockdown 1 had been working from home. He was staying with his mother, brother and sister-in-law, and his family had shifted recently from Shivajinagar to JC Nagar.
Since the last few days, he had been having a fever as also loose motions. He was being treated in a private hospital and two days ago was shifted to Bowring Hospital, where he tested Covid-positive.
As per the doctors, he died due to a combination of a cardiac arrest, stress and acute gastroenteritis. Health officials have identified five of his family members as primary contacts, and are yet to trace his secondary contacts near his new residence in JC Nagar.
