Maharashtra’s Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Makarand Jadhav-Patil has confirmed that the state has seen an average of eight farmer suicides a day over the past 56 months. The acknowledgment came during a question by NCP MLC Shivajirao Garje in the legislative council’s question hour.
